After completing my studies, I had always aspired to work abroad and immerse myself in new culture. When the opportunity to join Reso in Bahrain came up, it felt like the perfect fit. The region is fast-growing and full of potential, and I was excited by the idea of contributing to meaningful work in such a dynamic environment. Reso offered a promising opportunity to grow professionally while experiencing something entirely new. What made the transition even smoother was Bahrain’s welcoming community, the people were warm and friendly, which helped me settle in quickly

Q2. What were your first impressions of Reso when you relocated from Malaysia?

From day one, I was struck by the professionalism of the team and the high-caliber work being done. Working with prominent clients on impactful projects was incredibly motivating. Just as importantly, the company culture stood out as everyone was genuinely welcoming and supportive. Their kindness made a real difference in helping me adapt to both a new role and a new country.

Q3. How did your responsibilities evolve as you moved from an analyst role to a managerial position?

My responsibilities evolved steadily over time. I was gradually entrusted with more complex tasks and leadership responsibilities, which helped prepare me for the transition to management. What started as managing a small team for a single project grew into leading larger teams across multiple projects. This progression allowed me to build confidence, refine my leadership approach, and develop a strong sense of accountability.

Q4. What leadership skills did you develop during your time as a manager at Reso?

Reso was instrumental in shaping my leadership style. Two key skills I developed were people management and emotional intelligence. Leading a diverse team required me to understand individual motivations, manage workloads effectively, and ensure everyone felt supported. I learned the importance of creating a positive environment where people could do their best work, while also being aware of team dynamics, stress levels, and morale.

Q5. Looking back, how has your experience at Reso influenced your current career path?

My time at Reso laid a strong foundation for where I am today. The exposure to research, strategic and analytical thinking, and client engagement gave me the confidence and capabilities to transition into a strategy-focused role. It was at Reso that I discovered my passion for solving complex business problems, a passion that now drives my current work in strategy.
